Unbelievable as it may seem, they actually have a decent enough team put together:

The team consist of Palestinian emigrants, mostly from South America. The team for the 02 World Cup was drawn from Palestine, but that idea had to be given up after they weren't allowed out to play qualifying matches and a team member was killed by the Israelis.
They're in a group of 4 with Iraq, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan.
Anyone know the qualifying structure of Asia and what they have to do to get to Germany? Would be incredible if they managed it.
Have you ever won the treble?
Group winners in this stage go through to the next round, with two groups of four. Group winners qualify, runners-up play-off for a third spot and the losers of that play fourth place in CONCACAF (North and Central America).
Very difficult to get out of that - Bahrain nearly managed it last time, but that was without Japan and South Korea.
Fair play to Palestine though - is there a Palestinian national team in any other sport? And didn't Israel leave Asia after other countries refused to play them?
