I think we have a fantastic chance of maintaining our midtable mediocrity.
We have 40 points at the moment.
10 out of 36 gained from the 5 teams above us and the remaining 30 out of 39 gained from the teams below us.

We've hit form again at the right end of the season. We have Salthill and Mervue in the next 2 games both away from home but we should have 6 points from that if we have an aspirations of promotion. Then come twomassive games against Limerick @ home and the Mons away. 10 Points from 12 should see us in a great position to secure a playoff spot. I think we've the easiest run with Longford, Athlone and Shels. Yet again should be atleast 10 points. 6 wins 2 draws should see us atleast in a playoff if not more. Its going to be a great end to the season. Any of the top 5 teams can still get promoted.
Tis Rogers.
I'll gave into my crystal ball for the remainder of our games:
Harps W
CoOp L
Waherfurr L
Salthill W
Wexford W
Mons L
Shels D
Athlone W
Which will give us 59 points seeing us comfortably 5th![]()
I don't see us losing 3 games, but with Waterford coming good again and Mons not looking like fading, we may have to beat Shels & Cork at home and take a minimum of 4 points from the away games at Waterford & Mons...might be too much.
Might be?!?!
If ever Shels were up for a game they'll be up for that game below in Limerick.
We're far, far, better than them but factor in our traditional stage fright and it gets a bit iffy.
As for four points from Monaghan and Waterford away.
Funnily we had a good record in Mon under Kerley and O'Connor, we've struggled BIG TIME last few trips though for whatever reasons.
I'd say you'd have to ask the memory man Gary Spain when our last good performance in the RSC was![]()
No just comparing our respective lineups.
League Table would actually be irrelevant in a one on one encounter.
For example Wexford hopped us below in Wexford and you'd never think it if you were to just go by the league table.
Ok I've decided to resign myself to Limerick finishing 4th or 5th at this stage so hopefully then i won't be as dissapointed if we don't make the play offs. Really can't see us doing it as the days go by. Hopefully though Limerick can prove me wrong.
That's the Limerick spirit Jofspring.![]()
Derry
Mons
Waterford
Shels
Limerick
Thats how i see it ending starting with us making a right mess of it in Harps tomorrow.
You're obviously comparing them with rose-tinted spectacles. League table is far more relevant than one-on-one encounters when determining who is the better team so to say that you're far far far better when only 3 points ahead of us seems a little off and suggests your opinion of your squad and our squad is probably a bit skewed.
Lets redefine what it means to heal
Ray Scully is excellent. Paul Shiels however is muck and shouldn't even be making our bench. Its worrying what happens once a team gets a tiny bit of success, think you're bleedin Barcelona already. If I'm honest I'm more worried about the other 2 playoff contenders than I am Limerick.
Lets redefine what it means to heal
If Limerick really do have a "far far far better squad" than us then coupled with the fact that we've had 3 different managers this season to only have a 3 point gap over us at this stage in the season is a pretty poor effort.
I'll go for
1. Derry
2. Waterford
3. Monagahan
4. Limerick
5. Shels
