Bob Boyce threw it back to the Askeaton goalie. Away we went.... Facts.
it was a 50/50 didnt say it wasnt and everything you have said is fact but also the facts are sum of the team on feild said the things.....fair play to broadford managers tho they did help as much as they could.....as i said it was a great game to watch...and ya thankfully the player was ok.....

Shannonside went up 2 nil before the break, Rathkeale levelled with 2 quick goals, Shannonside replied with a quick free kick, a header and a late goal, Ian Ryan played with Shannonside, could have him for a few games before the county start training again.

To highlight an individual saying something to another individual paints a completly distorted view of the bigger picture of what happened NEW BOY, what went on before that to provoke him or was the thing totaly taken out of context by you? If every "comment" that happened on a football field was written publicaly like you wrote, the internet airwaves would get bloked up. To write about one particular thing like that is pathetic, juvenile, downright bad journalism and offensive to Broadford United who always behave properly playing in Askeaton,as I'm sure the Askeaton club will vouch for, your bang out of order.

I spoke to a Glin Rovers supporter this evening and while he thought that the first yellow for Ollie Mulvihill in their match v NCW Rovers was harsh, the second was a given. He also said that the performance was very good to get a point playing away for nearly an hour with 10 men, and that with a full side they won't be in a relegation battle this year.
Not much more to report on this game except to say there were a couple of screamers scored by Carrig. Francis Moore got 2 long range crackers and Jack O' Connor and Seanie King put away their goals well for Carrig too. A well taken Anthony Moulineaux penalty for Old Mill and I'm not too sure who got the other one. It was an exciting second half alright. A typical derby game but clean and played very sportingly by both teams. I think Div 1 will be very close this season.

Thanks for that Have It. Would you think that Carrig will go straight back up or would they be better off with another year in the 1st div.with their young team? Molyneaex is a fine player who can play anywhere for a side and do well, Premier teams should look to sign him.

I also met a Newcastlewest supporter this evening who thought that Newcastlewest wouldn't win the Premier League but with Daniel Power back to score goals for them it couldn't be ruled out given the results of the wekend.

Gerry Cronin with Abbeyfeale utd I found that amazing its rare you see managers moving around teams in the Desmond League.....I will guarantee you Abbeyfeale will be in with a shout this year with him in charge he is a very good manager.....what happened Rathkeale sunday are Shannonside title contenders?does anyone know who is over the Oscar Traynor team this year?

To be fair to Shannonside they played well on the day, battled hard and deserved to win the game, although the scoreline was a bit flattering in the end I think. Rathkeale were missing 4 first team regulars on the day and if they had been there it could have been a different outcome, but its early days yet. Shannonside will be there or thereabouts towards the topend of the table, don't think they'll be title contenders in my opinion.

i dunno really...the two roches gone to lisselton and i think abbey will finish mid table..honestly dont think they will be in with a shout for the title...well by the observer rathkeale were missing 8 players so that could be the reason behind their loss to shannonside...but then again shannonside are no bad team

Ya he is a very good player. Very cool on the ball. On Carrig, very young looking squad alright. Next few games will tell a lot. There have a lot of derby games to play so that will either be an advantage or a disadvantage. Possible contenders in my opinion but a very tough division to come out of.

Thanks again Have It. I agree it's probably the toughest division to get promoted from.Carrig have Athea and Kilcolman in their next two games, and it should become clearer if they are good enough after that.
