what kind of a set up do Rockhill have and why dont Adare just move to the manor grounds perminently?
Not a bad idea BoyBlue. I just hope somebody from the league may read this site and get a few ideas or maybe they have a few similar ideas.Im not given out about the league committee.I think they do a great job,its their own free time they give up and with out them there would be no league.
I just think extraordinary things need to happen this year with the extraordinary weather we have got since the season began.

Rockhill play behind the school in Buree very tight pitch and hard to beat at home.In relation to Adare I spoke to a member of there club lately and asked the same question.
It seems they have to rent the Manor Grounds and book it in advance if they want to use it.
Good points made by boyblue and el nino in regards to league cups I totally agree.
I also think the league committee need to be more pro active next season as regards fixtures. I recall a committee member saying at the AGM this year that hopefully the weather wont be as bad this season.
HOPE will get us nowhere they need to look at starting the season earlier and get 6 or 7 rounds of the league played before national cups begin
They have got to follow the lead of the city league. Teams playing twice a week at the start of the season for maybe a month. They tend to do it in April/May but it puts pressure on clubs and players when its unexpected. Do it at the start and it also helps teams get fit and better prepared for the FAI and munster junior

Munster Youths Cup
St.Michaels (Tipperary) 1 Rathkeale 1 (AET). St. Michaels won 3-0 on penalties.
Even contest. Blustery crosswind made control difficult. Scoreless at half-time. Rathkeale went ahead midway through second half. St.Michaels equalised with ten minutes remaining. Rathkeale missed sitter in last minute. Both sides had opportunities in exrtra time. Rathkeale failed with all their penalties, two blazed over the bar and third saved.

NCW Rovers 3 NCW 5. Great game, NCW Rovers probably deserved something from the game but NCW took their chances. Sheehy in goals was brilliant throughout and that tells it's own story made 3 outstanding saves. Rovers also hit the post twice. NCW penalty to make it 1 - 1 was a very poor decision by the referee. Butler & Doherty have made a big difference to NCW and both played very well.Scorers were Joyce 2 & Collins (NCW Rovers) - Power,Quaid,Butler,Doherty & Shanahan (NCW).
