Lads i has no idea if any players have been approached by our managment team... i dont get involved in that side of it....just cut the grass and try and keep the club running smoothly

ballbec77--- best of luck in trying too keep your players, but as you say it is always the player who deceides...we have had players approached by the opposition after playing them in a match, about signing for them. finally , what has a clubs bar trade got too do with it...like all clubs and bars the economic situation is not exactly booming...

I think that could a thread in itsself, ive heard they have approched a few people already for next season, I suppose you have to approach early to see if they are interested.

Well you have the club crest as your avatar,so that's what I meant everyone knows what club you're involved with and I also heard ye have approached players already,so what's the problem,I'm a follower of football and played with corbally but not any more

Any team with ambitions of trying to improve will go out and try sign some of the best players in town and the earlier the better just have a look at fairview and pike they have very good squads and they have thier work done well in advance this is why both teams have reached fai finals in the last 2 years

do they honestly think that by approaching players that players will not tell someone and than it goes to the next and so on.ive seen the txts myself sent to a lad from a certain manager and they make for good reading.

Ya your right, the way they where calling it when I wasn't looking I thought they said Pike vs Bohs but it was actually the next fixture coming up.

Sligo are going through a bad patch at the moment so if they keep that up Pike may get a scalp. Very tough team though that like to play football. Current FAI Champions too. Could possibly be looking at FAI Junior Cup Champions vs FAI Senior Cup Champions.

Great draw for any junior club cant see pike getting out of sligo with a result but a great achievement.

I'm sure they'll have a few going up,when is it on,if it's a Friday night I don't think that many will travel,but on a Sunday maybe you'll get a few,

Its on the weekend ending 5th of June. I'd say maybe 20 to 30 head up max, could be worng though. Nice little pay day for Pike. Would expect at least 1,200 at it from Sligo and Pike get 50% of the gate.

i'm sure they know people will find out as young lads will always have a chat about stuff like this among themselves, as for the managers sending the texts i'm sure they are just trying to get in ahead of other managers, thats the way it is unfortunately

It's not 50%, more like 35% I think as obviously we'd have match day expenses to pay so why would Pike get 50% with us having the pay the expenses making them more money than us.

Pike will run a bus I'm sure,and 35% would be right,pike have a good few ex loi players who I'm sure will be looking forward to it,I'm sure they will stay overnight so if it's on of a Saturday night,it would be all hours in they getting home otherwise.

Had always thought the League Cup was 35% and the FAI Cup was 50%.
