    6-1

It was one all at half time and we imploded in the second half...we were awful truely awful in the second half.
I feel sorry for anyone who had got out of bed to come watch it.

Relegation is a certainty and has been for a while so we need to look tonext season...new pitch and hopefully a new out look and try and bounce back up again.

[QUOTE=booster 03;1475585]well ashling are definately not as bad as their position lets us believe, no chance they'd go down. shannon on the other hand, just not up to it, I guarantee they'l be in the top 4 this time next yr in 1A, just shows the gulf between 1a and premier.[/Q

Yeah 1a is a bad standard but so is the premier. Look how many teams are fightin for relegation, every year its either Pike or Fairview going for the league and other trophies and Regional arent a bad side either but apart from the 3 of them premier isnt great. I dont know if other teams are paying their players but if things keep going the way they are it will be the same teams winning the league year after year.

nobody can prove if premier teams are paying players so you cant go accusing.also if i can remember correctly the 12th man wont allow talk on the matter so il say no more on that subject.one thing tho that certainly happens in the premier league in limerick is that certain clubs defo look after ther players better than others in the form of paying referees fees, sending their players to physios at no cost to the player if he gets injured, holding benefit nights for injured players and raffles etc, providing their squads with tracksuits, gearbags training gear etc.basically a player isnt putting his hand into his pocket.its the right way to look after players and alot of clubs im sure use these incentives to get players to sign.insuring their players is another incentive ive heard teams using in the event of injury and loss of earnings thru missing work. im sure not all clubs can afford to introduce the above items ive mentioned hence players leaving the smaller clubs to join bigger teams with bars and ways of generating revenue.in this day and age alot of players dont have the money to be paying memebrships and referees and floodlight money for training.thats my view anyway

I had thought Pike and Fairview had only played each other once in the league so far

NO played each other twice with 1 win apiece

Fairview beat Pike 1-0 in Pike field.
Pike beat Fairview 4-2 in Fairgreen then.

Doesn't make a difference who is on top. If they finish level its a play off anyway.
