Didn't hear tedd but Doherty going back as well, Are Regional out of FAI & Munster? If so might have something to do with it. I think that they realised that Regional were not going to compete for the league or top cups again this season. Good players though and will be a loss to regional.

They certainly should be anyway, and Star are missing quiet a few regulars aswell (and before some of ye say it, no I'm not making excuses, just stating facts, as Rafa would say), but we'll give it our best shot anyway.............any points taken from the top 4 or 5 in the league is a bonus for any team fighting relegation, so we'd take a point now if we could (easier said than done though unfortunatly)

Star no match for Fairview this morning, Fairview fully deserved their win and best of luck to them for the rest of the season.

corbally 3-3 balla. very entertaining game this morning out in athlunkard.balla came flying out of the traps and punished a very lacklustre corbally by going 1-0 up after 10 mins.(noonan).dave dunphy made it 2-0 after 15mins with a very well taken free kick from edge of box.on 30 mins pa roche was put free on the edge of the box and buried a low hard shot into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.at this stage balla looked like they were going to win very handy before shane cox put in a great cross on the break for ian o donoghue to finish a well taken header on 35mins.balla went in 3-1 up at halftime. corbally came out flying in the second half and really put balla under pressure from the off.james ryan and dave o gorman came on as subs and gave corbally a boost going forward.on 55mins shane cox finished well on the back post after a good cross from ken neylon to make it 3-2.balla upped it a gear and came close to increasing the lead on 60mins when jimmy fyffe (in goal for second half for the injured mark healy) made a great one handed save from a rocket of a shot by pa roche.a real battle in the last 30mins ensued with both teams going for it.corbally came close to equalising on 75mins when jason o brien had a long range effort saved very well by balla keeper.corbally got the equaliser on 88mins through ronan sherlock and were unlucky not to win on 90mins when jason o brien had an effort ruled out for offside. a draw was fair result for a finish although balla will be disapointed to have had dave dunphy sent off on 90 mins for what was a harsh red card in my opinion by ref mike weldon.
