Just a thought but surely it would be better and a more competitive league if there was a change in the relegation/promotion set up.

For instance, 2 get automatically relegated from the Prem with 3rd last going into a relegation/promotion play off.
2 automatically get promoted from 1A, with 3rd playing 3rd last in the Prem in a play off (this could even be increased to involve 4th, 5th & 6th in 1A)

This would mean a lot more competitive games towards the end of the season in both leagues and would minimize the meaningless games that have to be played.
Not a very good idea i think, given the quality that have come up the last few years bar the odd exception it has been poor enough, so if maybe Kilmallock finished 3rd from bottom and dines finished 3rd from top of 1a go to a play off dines win will they add or take from the quality of the league? just gives more of a chance of the quality of the premier league being reduced

If Kilmallock and Mungret draw and Star win it would leave Mungret(19 pts), Star(21 pts) and Kilmallock(22 pts) with Star playing Kilmallock in the final game, in fairness its one of the closest finishes i can remember for along time.
    EVERYTHING is black and white

    Thats just textbook................

Yes very close set back for any club to go down, cant see either coming straight back up.

ya a massive few games for everyone involved in the relegation battle as abbey said saturday at 9 will tell alot.if a team is good enough to stay up they will get the results required and in fairness if they dont get the results they dont deserve to be in the premier league.

than we go in to clubhouse for a drink and one smart man started slagging us about if we had the hurlres we might have got a result.needless to say we left straight after that.
Did john mac ref the game i dont think he can do the pike games anymore i think that includes schoolboys.

Thats very true, can't see Mungret beating Kilmallock out there though, also "enjoy 1a" isn't an opinion

janesboro 5-1 corbally. shane clarke 3,thomas clarke,pa barry for boro, ben savage for corbally. janesboro were good value for there win.they were hungrier and took there chances when they got them and capitalised from some terrible defending from corbally.janesboro fully deserved the 3 points.
