    contact email

right this is a little gripe of mine, a while ago someone i know emailed the club to inquire about buying a jersey, 3 weeks later no reply, might i ask what the hell kind of business is the club running?

i could rant for ages but i'm not going to waste my breath but its not very hard to answer an email and this could have been the case for a lot of other people for a few different matters,

throw away money its not like we need it

I agree and disagree with you on this Acorn........ 1 - I emailed the club during pre-season to find out information regarding a pre-season friendly VS Rovers and I was replied to in a day or so.. so im surprised you haven't received a reply yet.

2- My mates brother ordered a jersey about 2 months ago and he is still waiting for it. He went up to see if they had it at the game VS Cork cause we told him we seen a big box of jerseys and stuff so we assumed that was the new orders in..... so he went in asked if they had the jerseys in and the handed him one...... He was in a rush out to see start of second half so just collected it and came back up to us when he looked at the plastic bag it was in and realised he had been handed a hoody not a jersey as ordered.

So he went back gave the hoody back asked for his jersey and was told they still haven't arrived...... I found it quite ridiculous and know many many people who have had the same problem.

My mate when he ordered one last season he gave up cause it never came and this season it took 3 weeks , while i heard another women before athlone away complaining that they still hadn't got her jersey in and she was told next home game but she wanted it for Athlone away and was sure she'd have it cause she had orderer it 3 weeks ago.

Sorry if this is a bit long but I do feel its a bit ridiculous and the club are losing out on money.......Im just glad all my merchandise/email experiences have been good ones.....maybe im just lucky (:

Probably to do with the manufacturers wanting to be paid for the stuff before they supply it, understandable from their point of view but when money is tight as it always is, it's hard to scrape it together to get in a decent sized order.

i can understand that but it does come across as very unprofessional, i'm sure some people might not buy a jersey again if there made to wait that long,

could the club at the start of the season not have an order of jerseys (based on last seasons demand maybe just below that number) ready for the next season? paying the money up front wouldn't be exactly crippling

They have to pay for most of the team's gear as well at the start of the season, you could be talking 10 or 15k fairly easily.

Used to be higher than that from recollection. You're talking about a good bit of kit including tracksuits, training gear, tshirts etc for probably 25-30 people. Then you have the replica stuff.

i taught the uhlsport jerseys were a bit crap to be honest so i can understand going to a better quality maker but i wouldn't be willing to pay over the odds for it, i wonder how much shopping around the powers that bee did... how much were uhlsport last year?

Umbro were the best package offered from about 4 or 5 tenders requested.

Replica jerseys can only be purchased in minimum lot sizes as no manufacturer will turn on their machines for 2 or 3 jerseys and the club do not want to have a stock pile of jerseys left there at the end of a season as happened a few years back. From what i know this is the reason for the delay in getting jerseys in. They try to accumulate orders before going to the manufacturer.

Most people would understand that if they were told but been told it will be here for the next home game and to be still waiting 2 months after that well that just isnt right imo.
