Didn't see it myself but there were loads around me who did. It really is disgraceful. Some of the decisions he gave against us were completely unbelievable as well.

Any examples WW? I was at his end of the ground opposite the Drogs fans, and didn't notice anything dodgy going against Drogs. Obviously I'm coming at this from a completely different angle to you!

You'll note I'm not claiming any conspiracy. (and in our case we wanted it to be over the line)

I was letting it go I was in line with Tommy Stewart for our 1st goal and to me he was offside. We all moan about the refs but the linos are giving them very little help. We got a glimpse of the real Paddy Kavanagh last night, a huge talent when fully fit. Thought Pats contributed to their own downfall by deciding to play for the draw when it was 1-1 and take their time at throws, kick outs etc. Enjoyable night. Once again Pats fans a lot noisier than any other away crowd. Well done.
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.

Think that wwas solely down to the full backs, who were both struggling last night. Rovers had momentum too, so I didn't mind a few breathers being taken.

Because it was an effort by his team, not by the opposition. The ball going over the line would have meant his team scored a goal.

agree with that, every week we are screaming "f**k sake lino, you can see that" well if we can surely he can, the only one that had the balls to say anytin was that lino in Dundalk that sent off Melligan think it was the same one that got Dave Rogers sent off for pulling his jocks down too

Pat's nearly snatched a point at the death but Rovers goalkeeper Alan Mannus saved a penalty in injury time from Ryan Guy after Billy Dennehy, who was red carded, handled the ball on the line.
this is the incident in question.

what do posters think of the following? Sean Connor unhappy with Buttimer for comments he made to Flood.

    Connor livid at referee's remarks
    0 commentsby Alan Dooley

Although clearly unhappy with his side only taking a point from the game with the division's bottom side Bray Wanderers, Galway United manager Sean Connor was even more unhappy, furious even, with the reported remarks made by Cork referee Anthony Buttimer towards his striker Anto Flood prior to the contest.

Flood, part of a playing squad who had deferred payment of a week's wages in an attempt to help out the embattled club, confirmed after the game that the experienced referee had commented to him: "I'll race ya for your wages."

This remark infuriated both the player involved and his team mates, but it was his manager who most vehemently expressed his displeasure with the incident, which Connor hopes will lead to an FAI investigation on the matter.

"The comments the referee made before the game, in my opinion, he should never take the football field again. These players here have worked, deferred their wages, and he's come and made a joke of it in the tunnel before the game.

"I'll be taking it up with Nick Leeson and I'll make sure he goes straight to the top with this, to John Delaney. The referee's a joke.

"When I seen him walking in, I rolled my eyes, cos I knew what we were going to get. He's made smart comments before; he's the ref who told one of my players at Dundalk last year to f*** off. He's full of smart comments and full of his own self importance."

Mr. Buttimer declined to comment on the matter when questioned on Monday night.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

    butt****er didnt give us a stone wall penalty {flood had a gash on his leg after the challenge}

we had a ball over the line that wasnt spotted by him or his incompetent assistant

generally gave us nothing throughout the game

and then he comes out with those despicable comments

he deliberately gave free kicks against anto flood through out the game. to frustrate him. on one occasion flood got elbowed in the face and he gave a free out

    CLOWN
