Agree with most here too, great win for AUL side last night, job done comfortably. I think most people here would be very happy with a 4 - 1 win no matter who you are playing.

Playing in goal in soccer is far more difficult than the glorified ball boy that a GAA keeper is.
All he does is get the ball back into play.

And as for anyone who gets within a sniff of a Cork GAA team, some people think he must be great at all sports. Busllsh1t.

I've seen good GAA players who couldn't trap a bag of cement when playing soccer, and GAA keepers who couldn't save stamps when they moved into "the big goal".
Also, for what it's worth I don't rate Quirke or O'Shea too highly as GAA keepers either.

Well done to the AUL team last night especially the gaffer, sharpshooter...and the keeper of course :-)
Shilts, have to disagree with you about Paddy O'Shea. Played with our Seniors for a couple of seasons and was outstanding. Probably the best in MSL at the time. No coincidence the 2 years he played we won the MSL and were runners-up the following year. I did play against him when he played with Villa but he was fairly young then. Well done to the AUL team - Holden I'll be sending Mr.Freyne down to you if you keep scoring, you'd love the northside.

    Foot.ie!

I must admit that I've seen him play only a few times... but in those games he didn't impress me.
However, everybody is entitled to a few bad games, so I'll bow to those that have seen him play more regularly than me.

Big game for us on sunday
Home v Bellurgan from Dundalk in the FAI Junior Cup
Hopefully we can continue our good form.

Another awayday in last 16 of AOH cup for us! Thats 5 in a row over 3 years in the latter stages. We lost 4-1 there last year, but were one up for an hour and had 2 cleared off the line before they equalised. Complacency would be an error on their part!

Radio, by my calculations Carrig have either Wilton, Bohs/Springfield or Glenthorn/Cathedral Celtic.

Best of luck to all teams representing our league this weekend - do us all proud.

Don, all ready for our visit to North Cork. Big one for both sides

Shetland I didnt agree or disagree with you - I was just questioning whether you ever have anything positive to say - most of your posts on here are you complaining about something

The next time i call round i'll give you a big hug

On another note the gaffer has been in the transfer market today and done a bit of wheeling and dealing and secured the signatures of 5 players.... names to follow in the next few days so bear with me on that one but i do know we have signed 2 keepers 2 strikers and a midfielder....So that will certainly strenghten the squad after losing the 2 Cronins in the last few weeks!

Casilles rumours are circulating about a very good signing for Blarney Street during the week. Can you confirm or deny. If it's true would be great addition

Would nt call it a big signing if its the player thats been talked about Trouble think he would find it hard to get into the team if i was being honest about it but no doubt he has great potential.......... and would be a good signing

    Munster Junior Cup 4th Round:

Goals from Timmy O'Shea and Conor Hawes(pen) was enough to book Springfield's passage into the 5th round of the Munster Junior Cup after their 2-0 win away to Buttevant.

    Village 0-1 Bohemians

Very scrappy win up in Villages pitch this afternoon not much chances created by both teams but when the main chance came we took it well enough.
1st half we defended up the hill and kept the village forwards scoreless however we did nt create much ourselves but wer very happy going into half time with the draw.
2nd half Village started the brighter but still could nt break down our defence.
We made a change on 70 mins when gaffer changed the formation and brought on new signing Wayne o Leary making his debut and the young signing took his chance brilliantly by scoring with barely his 1st touch after following up a shot from Christy Bullman to put us 1-0 up.
Last 10 mins Village pushed hard for the equaliser but with our other new signing Tommy Martin on goal and our 2 centre halfs playing like rocks we held on to claim all 3 points.

ballyvolane 6 grattan o ,back to winning ways thank god,did what we had to do ,but as i said about another team this week the opposotion was very poor.but fair play to grattan they tried hard and had figo and pa o connor in their side.o connor is totally unfit but showed a few nice touches.plus points for us was a hatrick from the sought after john corcoran and alan murphy bossed the middle of the pitch. leeside at ballyvolane park next sat in aoh up next.
