No conflict at all so OLA ? The Bandon juniors would be the equivalent of a B team and im sure Niall would have the facility to draw from them at club level if and when needed to supplement his own side. Still think the situation is at best "messy". Just an opinion. i will still be supporting the AUL Squad in all their games!

yes i agree with you there overthehill he probably does that from time to time - but as the AUL have appointed him for two years and dont have a problem with it then i dont see why we should.

As i've said - if anyone has a problem with it write a letter to the AUL - or perhaps at the massive turnout at delegate meetings someone may feel like mentioning it??

    Bohemians 2-1 Glenthorn

6 points from 2 games in the league great start to the season for us.
On the game itself very tough game played in very tough conditions gale force wind in the fairfield today took the lead against the wind after 10 mins great cross from our new signing Trevor Hallisey on the left who found Deccie Gostel to make 1 nil.Could of been 2 only for the cross bar which kept out a great effort from Christy Drisscoll.
Glenthorn levelled the game after 25 mins when a cross was deflected for an unlucky own goal went into the break that way which was great for us considering the wind factor.
2nd half was another tough 45 mins but we scored again after about 60 mins when Deccie Gostel let fly a rocket from 20 yards into bottom corner 2-1 to us.
Glenthorn should have equalized 2 mins later but pudge headed wide.Game fizzled out a bit towards the end and we held on well enough and probably deserved the 3 points

I think there may be a clash of personalities with the manager there scaffa, i think he was called up last year for a session and heard no more after. Definately one of the best strikers in Cork aul and well worth his place looking at some of the guys that have been called up, but isnt the beautiful game all about opinions!!!!! 51 players on that list, what will they do for the hour if they all turn up??

Yeah he was called up last year alright - Gary and Dean Buckley from Leeds were called up last year around the same time
Lads it looks like its a get together and a training session rather than a game! As far as i know its not just Niall there training the lot of them - I must check with our lads who were there last week what the scenario was!

Just to add - last year we had 3 called up to train with the Panel before the Quarter finals stage - so I wouldnt say the door is closed to anyone - keith Kelleher for example was called up into the Winning Oscar Traynor panel well towards the business end of that successful campain

I'm surprised at that Holden to be honest - i was involved there for years and nothing like that ever happened! Given that i know the manager pretty well and know what he works as I'm shocked!!

    Stuff

Just going to say that Ola - we must have played there a dozen times and the only thing that was robbed from us down there was points!! Very suprised.

By the looks of the Oscar Traynor draw on the MSL site, it has fallen well for the AUL. The other two teams playing first, so we will know what we have to do. Our away game is MSL by the looks of it, so that will be local as well.

Heard ye looked good at the weekend Scaff. Looking forward to next weekend. A sunny day like today and the crowd could spiral into the teens!!!

Our encounters have always been close and fun!!

Every time I have spoken To Mr Nolan, I have found him a nice guy. Unfortunately, the poor guy is getting a bit of a reputation now. Acrimonious deaprtures from Leeds & Oscar Traynor. I hope it doesnt stick

I've seen examples in the past whereby it was a member of a particular club was robbing his own teammates on away games ,so its not always the away team to blame.

Its a sad state of affairs but it happens

Yep we were ok not going over board about it was a good result after the Ballyvolane shocker, taking each game as they come now, think all the games we played against each other there was only a goal between us .................so it should be a cracker!!

Thats bad form Holden - sorry to hear that happened to ye - though when i was in Hibs - there were keys in the dressing room locks so each team could lock their own door before they went out to the pitch! I'm sure if they know who did it they'll be dealt with
