"Winning isn't everything. Wanting to win is."
Hi lads been reading this a while, said i ld throw my two pence in for whats its worth. I ve been playing myself for over 10 years and have always had an interest in the aul and its teams since i started playing. I can confirm that Mr. Stokes will be taking the reins at a premier league club next season, it might surprise a few that he's not heading for the Northside!!
Your suspicions are well founded olachico. Probably should nt come as a surprise as the job was advertised. Do nt know a huge amount the man myself, just that he seems to have strengthened St Marys foothold since they went up Premier in MSL a few seasons back. A progressive step i hope for my club, we put a big effort in last season with little reward through no fault of the management or the players we had ( we ve a small core to pick from), we could do with new bodies (and a few who may return) in the camp, hopefully he has a few players in mind.
welcome inswinger, not been smart or anything olachico but how could coachford count as the northside???

Heard Hogan from Blarney is joining ye,still a fine player.
Not too sure if he is southsider and i know him quite well, being from Coachford and where he played all his football with Coachford before joining Blarney he would be welcomed back with open arms, he does have a brother currently on the team also. He would be an addition to any team.
Holden, as a Norrie myself........I know its the centre of the universe so anyone should be honoured to be associated with it!!!!
I would have thought Micky Walsh would have gotten the Coachford job once he left Avondale.
Good manager & nice guy is Malcolm - I wish him well.
I think stokes will do well out there to be honest but id say hed need to get a few player in which will be tough going!
Having said that he have a few lined up to say he took the job maybe?
Horse id say Mick Walsh would have the job before anyone if he wanted it. He had a good run when he was in charge and won a few trophys. After a big job at Avondale probably a time out is what hes taking.
Malcolm Stokes to Coachford and Philpott- ex keeper with Rockmount-to Village utd.
