    Another International Retirement

Lee Carsley seems to have retired according to the Everton website:

    http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=3166

Some people will be happy! Though I thought he wasn't a bad squad player to have

Seems from that article that hes undecided, your either in or your out. Entirely different topic all together Fernando Ricksen went by me there on the way home from work about 20 minutes ago. Lives in a nice complex down the road.

Tries hard but absolutely no loss in my opinion. Nothing but a journeyman pro.

We can also do without people with the attitude of "if I don't get my game I'm not interested". Frankly Lee if that's you're attitude, good riddance.
Maybe you should put her on a leash, agent-man.

That's a bit harsh on the man, he's been a model pro in the Irish camp for the past 8 years.

If he wasn't so ****e he might be captain!

    Good luck Lee.

, but he is another terrrible player that i wont loose a night sleep over, you are either out or in and Not both!!!

I only hope Kerr gives him one more game before he gets kicked out of the squad, since we can enjoy booing him . Thiss is not a major loss.

    another traitor

who'll probably continue playing for his club - people who carry out this unacceptable action should be forced out of the game. For good.

Oh grow up! He had 29 solid if unspectacular games in a green shirt, and let that be that. He's no traitor, and nor should he be denied a livelihood. That's a ridiculous suggestion.

He's 29 and has been a fringe player for most of his Ireland career, He knows he's not in Kerr's long terms plans, Everton is his bread and butter and he's just being realistic in focusing on earning a new contract.

He's done a good job, I'm sure in a crisis he would make himself available as would Kiely etc.

    +1

I think Lee just saw that the writing's on the wall for him; wanted to retire before he's forced into obscurity. And that's fair enough.

To be honest, he was just another midfield grafter without a vast degree of talent, like Kavanagh and Kinsella. He'll be missed but not seriously.
