Solid Derry take vital victory

Derry City demonstrated their new-found defensive fortitude at Tolka Park on Tuesday night, when their second straight clean helped them to a vital win against Dublin City, who are now five points adrift of the rest at the bottom of the Premier Division table.

The win lifts Derry to sixth place in the table, although such is the tight nature of things in the Premier Division that they are one point below third spot and just two above ninth.
