Ya you can. I remember 2 seasons ago Killmallock B had to play Cappamore B on Monday, Caherdavin B on Tuesday and the Cup Final against Trinity on either Thursday or Friday all the same week.

That's ridiculous. There are rules in place for this kind of scenario. The maximum games any junior team is supposed to play in 7 days in TWO. Playing 4 games in 8 days is too much to ask of any team. You can re-arrange fixtures with the LDMC. You do not have to subject yourselves to this

Prospect B have no game this weekend so i wouldent be surprised if Ger Ned and another few more B players tog out with the A team.

so i take it you have never had the pleasure of trying to re-arrange games with the ldmc i would think most clubs in limerick at some stage have played 2-3 games a week at end of season ,

Talk to your chairman or secretary and they will tell you the same as I have. There is no fixture congestion this season, we are way ahead of schedule in all divisions. no team should have to play more than 2 games in ONE week. it's in the rules. do you think teams in Premier or 1A would play 3 games in 1 week?

it is the ldmc who deceide on when we play or not clubs chairmen or secretary can request fixtures to be rearranged but is unusall ldmc agree unless ye have a bit of pull on committe

You make the LDMC sound like some sort of crazy dictatorship! They fix the fixtures, that is true obviously, but if you need to re-arrange a fixture due to the fact that you are down to play 3 games in one week, they are supposed to accommodate you, no matter who you are, whether you're Pike Rovers or Mungret C, doesn't matter. same rules apply for everyone. 2 games in 7 days is the MAXIMUM you can play, and playing anymore than 2 in 7 days is downright idiotic. you don't have to stand for it!

If anyone is made play more than two games a week they should just threaten to go to the Munster Junior Council about it. I'm sure the LDMC would be quick to accomodate then.

Exactly Jof. Asking teams to play 3 games in 7 days at the start of April? Only in Limerick

Then next time you look for a free weekend you'll be given short shrift, i'm not saying the LDMC are vindictive but...

Cals don't have a chance anymore, they would need to win all their remaining games and hope that Caherconlish, Mungret and Croom lose all their remaining games. The only chance they have is finishing as high as possible and getting bumped up. Most years more than two teams end up going up.
