how about if a mod starts a poll
welcome back roy
p1ss off roy
easy way to settle the debate/civil war
Yes
No
Why, Sir Roy would not grace the field of a non competitive match. Far Eastern tours with Man Utd maybe, but Ireland...............Originally Posted by Footie_Fan

Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........
Nope no irony. Well everyone I know is over the moon the texts and calls have been flying in past fifteen minutes!Originally Posted by Conor74

Bring back the plank
It can't be a bad thing that Keano is back. Put the past in the past, and accept that he will definitely improve the midfield. It should be interesting to see what reception he'll get in Lansdowne. I know I'll definitely be cheering him on.

correct we don;t need him with a dodgy hip but fully fit yes we do.
Me thinks without him this team wouldn't make the WC....at least with him we have increased our chances.
we need him at 33 and 35.....correct we won't need him at 75 as he willl have retired from management at that stage
whey hey...best news i heard in a long time
Bring back the plank
he'll probbaly still be better than half the rest when he's 75!Originally Posted by Declan_Michael

We don't need him injured like he was last year but now we do
Just heard it on 2fm, Have to say I'm delighted. Any midfield with Duff and Keane is going to compete with anyone. Just wondering is there anything else involved? Doubt he'll play against Poland and Romania, but will he be involved with all games after that or just competitive games?
No one is saying we are going to win the world cup but we can sure give it a better go now then without Roy.Originally Posted by Conor74
Well Kerr has taken over and team affairs have become significantly more professional then before. Your waffling on about the FAI been miracle curers or something ... I think thats down to rehab and physio.
So the traitor comes crawling back.
What happened that bad hip? Thought he couldn't play for 'medical reasons'?
Until he apologises for lying to us all, I don't want to see him playing again.
you don't deserve him.Originally Posted by Colm

So does "available for international duty with immediate effect" mean he is available for friendlies too?

welcome back Roy! now we'll see where people really stand on booing players in an Irish shirt, happy days
I thought and will always think he was in the wrong over Saipan but I am welcoming him back with open arms. IMHO he's better than anything we have in the centre of midfield and makes the team stronger, and that's all I really care about. If it makes Ireland stronger, I'm happy.
You'll have my voice behind you when you walk out next at Landsdowne, Roy.
Maybe you should put her on a leash, agent-man.
Hes past it.
Not able to compete anymore at top european or international level i'm afraid.
He should have been playing for the last few years and been announcing his retirement today from international football, not the other way around.
Boo him. Everyone should boo the **** for lying to us.Originally Posted by tiktok
Let's just see how fickle people are when they welcome him back.
Will it be Poland or Romania, or will he come tip toeing through the tulips of Amsterdam..................
Will be "great craic" between the Pro Roy + Anti Roy Factions, be like the good old days again when the supporters from the Homeland took offence or couldn't understand us supporters with "english accents" following the Boys in Green.................Bring him on the Pikey Manc !!!!
CAPTAIN MORGANS GREENFORD Welcomes all Irish Football fans, live music every weekend
Yeah, your right like in '94 when Keane played and we won the world... oh wait hang on.......Originally Posted by tiktok

So his performance against Patrick Viera in the FA Cup semi-final was not up to scratch was it. If he did that twice against the French in the Qualifiers I reckon we could nick a point or threeOriginally Posted by eoinh
