Indeed. It looks as though their fate is now out of France's hands.

No other presenter in RTE could have delivered that line

Guardian.co.uk official blog not only states:

90+2 min: Peep! Peep! Peep! It's all over - Mexico have won a throoughly deserved victory. to have any chance of getting out Group A, France will need to beat South Africa well and hope Uruguay and Mexico don't draw. If they play on that night like they did otnight, the draw won't matter because they've no chance of beating South Africa. Their manager is an idiot and almost to a man, their players are a disgrace to their country.
    but also includes this gem:

"Post this, Barry," writes Anthony O'Connell. "You know you want to." It would be my absolute pleasure, Anto. To the people of France on behalf of the people of the Republic of Ireland ..

So people are getting all excited over the French losing even though the only player who did actually cheat wasn't even playing ?

'El Chicharito' Hernandez and Big Blanco, well done lads. I'm over the events of Paris but Mexico fully deserved their win. Not a bad side at all.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

You're that fella in the pub who interupts a good joke to discuss serious issues aren't you?

He has a point. There's no need to fob it off.

Personally, I'm delighted that France have lost because I loathe Domenech. He is an inept coach and how he has been French manager for so long is beyond any logical comprehension. He should have those players playing a lot better.

The attitude of the players is shocking, bone idle wasters. I would take the honesty, industry and integrity of Whelan over any of their midfielders, Riberry included.

Indeed, including "a night to celebrate" after the game in Paris.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
