    Nordie Reg in Tallaght

Ok, I want honest answers here.

I need somewhere to live during the summer and I'm considering a few places in Tallaght.

My motor has a northern reg.

Is this likely to introduce problems? Am I likely to wake up some morning and find my car up on bricks, keyed or burnt out lying in the middle of the road?

I don't know Dublin that well, but I've been told to avoid living in Tallaght by a few people if possible.

So, help me out kind folks.

Oh, and I'm not trying to imply that Tallaght is a dorty hole or anything.

Should be grand as long as it's not one of the really dodgy areas. If you're looking at places throw out a few estate names and I should be able to give you some idea. I doubt you'd get any bother in the majority of places though as long as you're not hanging Union Jacks out the windows or anything.

If that happens, it won't be because of your Northern Reg...

Avoid Jobstown and Fettercairn if you're not sure (I've friends in both btw and they've no problems there).

There's only a small percentage of Tallaght that's actually bad, there's some genuinely nice parts too. I live in Springfield which is one of the closest areas to the square and it's generally very quiet. If you get any addresses that you're looking at I'm sure we could give you an idea of what to expect.

It'd stick out too. I doubt I'd be able to conceal my bright orange Lamborghini Gallardo!

Be the perfect target for little arsonist plebs.
