    Form slipping badly

Big let down tonight - we only scored four. Seriously, another fine win and against a decent team. Can't remember when I saw a better midfield trio in the Showgies and if the rumours I hear about Colin Hawkins and Boco are true, we could be challenging for every single honour this season. Other than that, if Gavin gets injured..................

Looking forward to a reaction to only scoring four tonight on Friday night.

I wonder is this true. Hawkins and Boco would fit in there nicely. All the teams challenging for the league have at least one big centre half, if not two. I hear Raf might not be to happy at Bohs?

I think we are now playing the best football we ever have under Cook.
Second goal was worth the price of the season ticket alone.
Defence remains a bit of a worry.
Russell the next league of Ireland player to make it in England.

    As its approaching exam time...............

    Complete the Following Sequence:- 6 - 0 ; 6 - 0 ; 5 - 1 ; 4 - 1 ; ?

I got the calculator out, and it seems it'll be a few weeks before we start losing again, but we'll be getting hammered by the end of the season.

Seriously though, with everybody dropping points, are we too far behind to make a challenge to the top 3?

Not at all. If we can beat UCD we'll only be 6 points off the top. Will be tough up there though.

This team could well put in serious challenge. Need full support behind the team and encourage as many as possible to the showgrounds...

The UCD game has the potential to be the best games of pure football played in the League since the Shels days.

Agreed about the two center halves. Look at what Fenlon and Kenny has won the league with. So many teams play the long ball, or balls over the top in this league that the likes of Delaney, Heary and co clear it up easily.

Also, when you're a goal down, in the 89th minute and you see Delaney lurching up the pitch to our penalty box you can't help but feel the heart strain a little. (Donkey and all as he is...)

I was afraid when I woke up this morning that I had just been dreaming about a big win over Pats but hey the sun is still shining, the birds are singing, the recession is gone and Sligo smiles everwhere.
Funny old League though the league leaders have scored 22 goals and we have scored 23, they have let in 15 goals the same as us but we are about six places lower in the league. Sporting and ourselves were the early draw specialists.
Not taking anything for granted but those smiles could be around for a while.
