Indeedy Shep!! You get Mondogs after all!
The draw for the semi finals of the 2010 EA SPORTS Cup is as follows:
Sligo Rovers v Shamrock Rovers Monday, 2nd August
Monaghan United v Dundalk Monday, 2nd August
Kick-off times to be confirmed.
I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.

Good draw for Monaghan and Dundalk. Am I right in thinking this is Monaghan's first senior semi-final?
Nice one, see you August 2nd Magicme!
Well done to the Mons.A very decent side and you never know what can happen in a cup game.A decent team, probably the best we've played in D1 this year.
As for the ref always being a disgrace in the brandywell when we don't win. They can also be a disgrace when we win as well!
Bring back the D1 refs. Last night was the 1st time that advantage was never allowed this season at any stage in the game when we had a free kick awarded.
So if you think Bohs are big read this. http://www.astronomy.ie/perpespective.html
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Would be great to see Monaghan win it. They play a nice brand of football and they were very impressive when they played City in the cross from what i recall back in April.
In cup football as we all know anything can happen

Will b good seeing ya again!
Hope ur right. Will b great to have u over.
Compliments from Derry and Cork, really feel like am in a parallel universe! Don't over hype us tho coz then I feel insecure. But thanks 4 the good wishes and congrats.
very good draw for all concerned, Sligo will fancy their chances against anyone at the Showies while shams will see this as a good chance of a throphy (which they deffo need this season). Difficult to call a winner on this one.
great that Mons got a home draw for what should be a great night there. Would slightly fancy Dundalk to win but home advantage and a, hopefully, decent crowd might even things out a little bit.
Definetly confident against Shams in the showgies especially with the form at home we are on.
As long as we can sustain that form it should be interesting.
On the subject of crowds at Monaghan games this season.
Would attendances be up from the home fans considering you's have had more higher profile teams visiting in the past month or so and also the nice football you's are playing?

Yes Candystripe but only marginally. Each week I see a few new people there and they come back each week but its a slow growth and dont really think it is to do with the teams we are playing as in the past few seasons we have had Dundalk, Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers in our league which would be considered high profile but the fans werent coming to them so I do think it is more to do with the standard of football we are playing, our league position and factors from off the pitch that are beginning to see a slight increase.
My brother is booking his flight home from England for this one; was speaking to my mate tonight who goes to a game about once every 3 years and he's going too....who knows how many more will crawl out of the woodwork.
Will it be a afternoon or evening kick-off magicme?
not definate but think its a three o clock kickoff ,dundalk will be strong favorites and rightly so but we play a nice brand of football and could cause an upset
I wish i did not know then what I dont know now
Yeah its looking like it might be a 3pm kick off so people can get home earlyish for work the next day. I say earlyish coz I hope they will stick around for a few drinks after and if we progress I will be stayin in the bar until work the next morning!
