I don't remember talking about a pitch invasion seriously, some Bohs fan did lean over the railings to take a swinging punch at him though which is probably what I was talking about?
You also won't have found me defending O'Neill's actions at Oriel Park after the referee sent off Chambers. If he was whinging about the referee after the game on Saturday I wouldn't be too surprised - we got a player booked for diving when there clearly should have been a foul or penalty (I haven't seen a replay if inside or outside box) and for the second week in a row Bohs should have had a player sent off for an ugly challenge but didn't.
As for Fenlon, 5 trophies? If that's what it's for, fair enough. But he was doing the exact same salute to Bohs fans at the end of last season at the Carlise Grounds, and since then has won the Setanta Cup? Still reckon its for five trophies won?

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Like I said, I'll see it agin from another angle on MNS tonight, at the time though from what I saw I don't think saying it was late or two footed or deliberate is exactly hyperbole?

Last year (at the Carlisle ground) he gave a four fingered salute - some fans took that as referring to doing four Leagues in a row until he explained it was the four throphies won todate. Since the Setanta Cup win its now five. Hope this clears up that one.
Thought the match was full on persperation and short on inspiration. Bohs had a lot of possesion but created very little. The introduction of Baker did liven up shams and they deffo finished the stronger. Didnt feel either side did enough over the 90 mins to win it. Great commitment but both teams were not unhappy with a point and in the light of later results it is probobly a point gained.
Can whoever sets up the "Tonight's latest" thread in the future do one for Bohs' and Rovers' games and one for the rest of the league?
I ask you to do work A, not the other way around.
(But seriously, let's assume the problem was cos Bohs and Rovers were playing each other and it'll be that bit more refined next week. If not, we'll have a look see)

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Exactly, there's been what, a dozen posts about the biggest derby in the league between two title challengers, which featured a clash between both squads at the end of the game, twice. Reasonably interesting stuff.
Obviously we can't all be as cuddly, fluffy and blandly inoffensive as UCD or one of the other small clubs around here
Kom Igen, FCK...
My initial post was actually meant to be tongue in cheek, but the point (and "problem" was admittedly the wrong word to use) is that Bohs-Rovers squabbles are like air bubbles in wallpaper - once one goes down, another pops up somewhere else, annoying everyone else. There's a fair few split in the rubbish forum for example.
Obviously no-one's going to stop the more reasonable ones (including this one in the main, although analysis of what gestures Fenlon gave Rovers fans is much more annoying), but if Bohs and Rovers fans enjoy them and everyone else is bored by them clogging up threads, the obvious solution is to split the thread, which is all I was suggesting.

Replay just there on MNS of the Cronin challenge, I stand by what I said earlier. For me that's a red card. There was intent to hit the player, not a mistimed tackle, he could have snapped his ankle and has followed through with the other foot to be completely sure he stopped him. He's ended up with the same punishment as if he'd tugged his jersey in that situation.
Exactly. I would have no problem with what was discussed between Bohs/Shams fans on this issue. Hardly hijacked the thread either.
Was the biggest game of the weekend, like it or not its the biggest game in our league and with a bit of controversy thrown in so actually quite interesting to hear what the respective fans thought of what went on.
thanks for clearing that up then.
and just to clarify.. it wasnt for the number, in thousands that nutsy fenlon is owed in wages from the club in phibsboro no ?
see you in august, at a proper ground, with a full stadium.
