I've never really seen the relevance of that attitude, one has to take each game on its own merits, and the fact is that we dominated this game for 85 minutes or more. I felt we might have sent another striker on (perhaps for Colwell) to capitalise on our total dominance, but Gary O'Neill was absolutely immense. Cottsy, Ray Scully, Pierre and Crowely were exceptional as well.Originally Posted by Breifne
Pitiful crowd, but only to be expected in the circumstances.
How did Kelly not give that penalty for handball in the first half? His performance reminded me of the England-Greece game in 2001, he just seemed determined to find any pretext for giving Fahey free-kicks on the edge of our box until they scored from one. Very pround of the lads though, although disappointed that we were hanging on for the whistle at the end (should have had the confidence to press for a winner.)
