Another chance fell to Mervue early in the second half when their winger tore the Wexford left-defence apart but the Mervue midfielder tucked the low cross over the bar when it looked easier to score. Wexford then had two goals disallowed for offside and, as Mervue tired or retreated into their shell, got the equaliser when a cross found Dean wide left whose header found Shane Sinnott clear in the box and he slotted it away low left for two-two. Wexford were now on the up and in the last minute or two, Danny turned their defence on the left , knocked the ball low into the box and a step-over left the ball running clear to Shane Dempsey who drilled it low left for the winner. Plenty of other half-chances for both sides as well where both defences seemed to be all over the place. Only sub. for Wexford was Shane S. after about an hour for Muzzi who had a quiet game after his excellent half last week.
