    Laptop/PC file retrieval query

I took a copy of a disc from a camcorder onto my laptop on Friday. Done it loads of times before; rarely a problem. On this occasion, just as it finished the copy, I got a message "Invalid MS DOS prompt" or some such, and the copy failed.

I happened to run a Disc Cleanup over the weekend, and one of the files it found was "Per user queued Windows Error Report", which is exactly the same size (0.99GB). I put that into the computer's help and got as the best result "Report handwriting recognition errors to Microsoft". I'm hoping the good people at foot.ir would have a better idea if it's possible to retrieve the file from wherever it appears to be hidden. Any ideas?

I think I'm on Windows Vista if it helps. I'm off to use google now as well.

    Thanks!

Try this. I've used it before to recover some accidentally deleted pictures. Free and safe to use.

    Good luck!
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

Nice try, but no joy. Will get another copy anyway. Cheers!
