Classic one for me, was in my first year of refereein and i was doing Caerconlish v Dines B , Dines B Player/Manager/Psyhio i know as "The Kid" from my O2 Interfirm days was playing rigt back, speed wasn't is fortie but still had some skills... well when Caherconlish cleared a ball it landed to the Kid just inside his half, all the Caherconlish start charging out trying to play Dines offside expecting the Kid to pass it to someone, but Silky skills kick in and he just chipped it over and ran on to it himself leaving him one and one with te keeper and as e was bearing down on goal e just got into the box and took a mighty swipe at the ball but instead of connecting with the ball he kicked the ground instead in front of ball and fell over the ball..... the ball ran tamely to the keeper everyone starting bursting out laughing myself included but the best bit was when he turned to me and said " Ref come on that was surely a penalty" Classic :-)

I remember this one alright, if my memory serves me correctly it was Stephen Kelly who took that penalty

I was number 11 penalty taker for Bunratty so I was almost happy that Frankie never gave it or else I would have had to take one.
