They beat us as well and thoroughly deserved it.
First goal was bad marking from a corner. The heavy lad Kelleher had an amazing shot off the bar from 30 yards before he scored.
We played a bit better in the 2nd half and their 3rd was against the run of play but a cracking strike from Kavanagh.

We were so lost without Rogers at the back.
But watch out Derry, we'll have the Lordan sisters back for Friday

Well done to Monaghan United. To get a Bohs team of that strength to extra-time was an achievement, but to beat them was fantastic. Fair play to the Mons!

George O'Callaghan becomes the first Waterford player to score 5 goals in a competitive match since Alfie Hale in a 11-1 win over Rialto in the FAI Cup in 1972.

    Teams in the Quarter-finals draw:

    Derry City
    St.Patricks Athletic
    Shamrock Rovers
    Dundalk FC
    Limerick FC
    Waterford United
    Sligo Rovers
    Monagahan United

Limerick haven't played Sligo in a while so i'd like to get them down here in the quarters.

    Even after last season?

According to some of our fans who made it behind the goal before the penos started, the ball crossed the line. It hit off the inside of the crossbar and was cleared out. But I really dont give a damn now!

I know! Was scared when I saw their team sheet and even the lads who aren't regular starters are still full time pros. I was delighted our lads didnt flag in extratime and that is a credit to all the extra fitness work they have been doing. Soooooo proud of them tonight.
