    Shelbourne goalkeeper Steve Williams, widely regarded as the best netminder in the league, has revealed that he had the option to return across the water in the close-season.

    The Welshman, who joined Shels from Dundalk five years ago, was in top form at a crucial stage last season, keeping five straight clean sheets inside the final month of the campaign to help the Reds to oust Bohemians as eircom League champions.

    Doens't suprise me clubs from elsewhere are looking at him, he really is a class 'keeper. Imo, he should be playing for Wales. They call up four goalkeeprs to their squad and there's no way a Fulham past it reserve is better than him.
