Hi, just wondering on your crest - Is the trophy the jules Remy trophy? As ye were founded way back in 1887 and the world cup didnt start till 1930, I was wondering was that your original crest or has it just been updated.
I see we got ye in the Cup, pity we didnt get an away wee trip to Athlone cause i havent been to the new ground yet. Maybe in the replay!

The Lion and Roses is the crest of the Town of Athlone ... there was a football placed over the crest for the team but that seems to come and go.
As for the Jules Rimet ... and club can win the League but we're still gunning to e the 1st club to win the World Cup
