If Kyle played all night he wouldn't have scored. He's hardly a prolific goalscorer anyway. It was the right decision. McAteer, on the otherhand was a disgrace and hardly acted his 31 years of age.

At least we're saved from the McCarthy - Keane rematch No doubt people will use McCarthy's 'failure' to take an average nationwide team to the fa cup final as an excuse to slag him off

I would have loved to have seen McCarthy VS Keane. Sunderland were defending the rest of the match when Kyle came off!

Me too. Only interest I would have had in his overhyped tournament.

I bet the Cardiff cops are delighted at the idea of Millwall, Cardiff and Man U fans all being in the same City. Lucky them.

Whats the betting of serious crowd violence arising next year in the UEFA cup?

Would never claim that United fans have collective halo's, however if you don't agree with it don't use it! It's pathetic that it's acceptable for United to munichs, but what reaction would you get calling the scousers Hillsboro's? You'd be (rightly) fúcked out of it....

Actually I hate ManU far more, and any United fan that calls United that is a total JCL...

btw Wouldn't so confident that your fellow cockernies will have things their own way in Cardiff. United are pretty formidable on that front too, not to mention the locals....

Always considered Man U fans to be fairly cr@p but they destroyed the Arsenal fans at Villa Park on Saturday.Couldn't hear an Arsenal chant all game.
Must be just the large number of nonlocals who attend the Old Trafford games that lets them down.

Millwall in Europe is the English FA's nightmare. They have been
desperately trying to re-image English supporters in the eyes of Europeans, and now the most infamous hooligan team are to be let lose on the continent .....makes it interesting for us though
    <insert witty remark>

Away from home United have always been top notch, depends where you are in the ground at OT. Teir 2 of the stretty is normally rockin, but then that's so far from the pitch. All the rest of the singers are spread out around the ground (the joys of all seaters). The fact that it's so hard to get tickets is also a problem, none of this turn up at 12 and pay into the stretty as in days of old

Have to say Man U fans (sounds alright to me Macy) are the best vocally in England (only portsmouth or newcastle could challenge)

Bit of inventiveness with the songs always helps...

I'd say cops in carediff will be well trained to cope witht he likes of Milwall thugs. Going to be a completely different matter in the UEFA Cup - every Milwall thugs is gonna want to "invade" Europe. Media can start the outline of their articles already.

Seriously though, hope Longford or any EL/IL club don't get drawn v.Millwall,in UEFA C.,ith possible exception of Linfield?
we'll see...... Town have played millwall before anyway, and due to the English Co-efficient I'd be delighted if we got that far.

If you're not a cockney, then you've certainly fallen for all their bullshít.

Lol I met a 45 year old Millwall hooligan when I was working in Ibiza during the summer. He was telling me about the plans they had for their games against West Ham this season - frightening stuff. He also told me about how he was planning to sneak into Turkey for the Turkey - England qualifier and how he was planning to 'wreck the place'. This guy was scum defined - he hated the 'Oirish', even though his family were all originally from Ireland, and Millwall had a few Irish players on their books, including Steven Reid at the time. He supported Rangers as well, like most hooligan Millwall fans. The football was just like a sideshow to him. You can bet your last euro that these boys will leave their mark on Europe next year!

Thought you were against people Not supporting their local team....These people are a blight on Society!

PS.Before you think the Mancs.have some sort of collective halo....They sing songs about Bill Shankly(R.I.P.) & other dubious content matter..all banter outside the'PC' world,I'm afraid.......
Absolute crap. Since Liverpool supporters suffered at Hillsborough there is no disrespectful mention of munich since both clubs suffered a great tragedy.

At least include Celtic on your hit list. Remember an outcry in Britain when Celtic supporters jeered during the minutes silence after the Queen mother died.

Oh sweet Jesus Declan, what's with the one-man persecution of Celtic? A minute's silence at subsequent football matches was wholly inappropriate to mark the passing of a gin-sodden old parasite who'd had more than her fair share of privilege and lifespan. I was at CP for that particular game as it happens and very few jeered, although most carried on taking their seats, talking to their friends, scratching their sacks, whatever. Her passing just wasn't considered relevant by the majority of Celtic fans that day.

I think the vignette I've just described is wholly different from a bank of fans with songs celebrating tragic losses of life á la Munich or Hillsborough. Wouldn't you agree?

I'm hardly a firm believer in the British Monarchy myself. Maybe a football match wasn't the best place to hold a minute silence but it was still deemed disrespectful to someone who had just passed away. Incidendentally, I don't think a football stadium is any place to vent political/nationalistic views.

I wouldnt be so sure of that. My some what limited knowledge of Cardiff and people there leads me to believe that the Man U fellas are not likely to be a poor third. Some time a few years ago, Man U were playing in Cardiff, Cardiff were away that weekend. Man U fans all 'took' the Prince of Wales Pub. Police shat themselves, long old night.
