    just a footie fan!

im only 20 and ive met alot of my heroes.
ive prob left sum out but theyre the main ones!
    yeah, im a girl..*not a hooker*
but i think being a girl fan, i stand out from the lads so the players are more likely to see me.
for the record. david platt was the rudest.
strachan, souness, o neill were the nicest.
    notice all old boys?
of the next generation, dickov and kinsella were the nicest.

Met the Argentina defender Coloccini (now at AC Milan) while in Madrid a few years ago (was at loan at Atletí), he's massive and has a huge ginger afro/perm.

Oh yeah and in 1994 or 1995 I was mascot for Tranmere Rovers @ Luton, met Aldo (and have met him a few times since) who put me on the team bus to meet all the other players.

Frank Stapleton. A complete b o l l i x as Martinho II said. Nearly ashamed we share the same surname. (Frank not Martinho II!!!)

Met him when Ireland U-21 were playing at Flancare Park two years ago. Frank was doing commentary for SKY, went over to Frank after the game, asked for an autograph and told him how i used to pretend i was his nephew at school. He didnt laugh, he just hmmmphhhed and shuffled off.

I agree with you there. When as a kid I used to got to Arsenal and he wouldn't look at you either going into the stadium or acknowledge the crowd. I met him in Israel in 84 and a local press man wanted a photo of me and him (Irish fan and star getting on greatly, hmmm??!!). Knowing what a tw*t he was I sat next to him ignoring him and he broke the silence by asking 'do you speak English?' The photo has us both laughing (in truth it was from embarrassment) and I tried to engage him in conversation afterwards but he wasn't interested much. I knew his brother who was a completely different bloke, but then he was just a fan, not a sooooperstar.
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!

Georgie(nice car-BMW Z3) on numerous occassions and JOF.

Met Jimmy Floyd and Franco Zola at an airport two years back, both very friendly, espec. Franco. Erm, the entire Derby squad and many Charlton players, inc. Scott Parker, Di Canio, etc.
Claus Jensen is so sound it's unbelieveable, met Brian Kerr at an airport too, very nice guy, a bit quiet though.

Oh, and i saw Billy Woods in Douglas once...

I met Niall Quinn in a Latvian strip joint in 1995. To make the scene complete Brendan O'Carroll was passed out on a sofa. It was Quinner's first international game back after his cruciate....a 3-0 win I think. Ah the memories.

was talking to Paul McGrath, just minutes before he "left" croke park before the special olympics opening ceremony. he was in fine form

most charismatic though would be Derek Dougan (cult hero). great at talking himself up

oh, and also had tea and biscuit with Pat Jennings in his house in Newry

Met Ray Houghton and hakin yakin after the swiss match in Tony and Jerrys Bar across from the irish boozer. Hakin was sound, houghtons an arsehole, totally full of his own self importance. Left with some swiss tart. On the same night, in same bar met Tony O'Donoghue (famed irish Journalist), absoltely rat arsed. Up on the bar stripping and all. Funny night! Brian Kerr was in also, interesting stories to tell about the FAI..
