We seem to be living up to our stereotypical 'plucky, hard to beat' reputation this year. Three superior sides in Fingal, Bohs and Rovers seem to have had some of their worst games against us this season in 0-0 draws. Either we're lucky or we're rendering them unable to play. With our full strength team (mainly Bolger starting) we seem to be well set up to absorb opponents' attacks, win the ball and retain it for sizeable periods. A combination of a great hunger for the ball and a robustness and strength in the challenge is result in us winning the ball more than we used to. Unfortunately on the other side of the coin, although we're comfortable enough on the ball, we're not moving it fast enough to fashion many chances. We tend to over elabourate in the final third and we're just not clinical enough (unless it's Drogheda). We'll accumulate enough points to stay out of trouble but the lack of wins will see us drift away from the leading pack and sink us to lower midtable mediocrety.
