    Continued Development of the Ground

I was trawling through this forum this morning, and was reading about the development of the new ground and the plans to get the rest of it completed by 2009. I think some suggested that it was meant to be a 6,000 seater if completed.

As I could see from the last time I was there a couple of years back, it didn't look likely with the houses behind it, which is a shame because what is there is class and unusually well thought through for the league. What happened lads? Is there any chance of it happening in the longer term?
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Would there be much point in extending it? I thought the plan was promotion and then as crowds improved, bang the extra stands in when required.

yes but if the money became available I am sure that the stadium committee wouldn't say no to it.

I think the next part of the grants offered by the government should be for club houses etc that could be used to provide and income..

While there isn't enough room to comfortably fit an exact same sized stand over the far side (which is stupid considering the amount of space behind the current stand), there is a lot more room than you might think from just looking across. Plus there is plenty of space at either end for a stand with facilities underneath.

You'd probably be safer staying clear tbh! It should be all pretty much just overgrown at this stage I'd imagine, but you'd never know who might be hanging around or what kind of stuff you might walk on.
