I made a bacon/tomoto omelette around 3pm yesterday. Was too sick to eat anymore after the wkd but am starving now. Going to the shop soon for a roll...mayo, cold chicken, lettuce and maybe stuffing.
Had a Banana sandwich on brown bread earlier and a strawberry yogurt. Washed down with a cup of piping hot tea.

Boiled egg on toast
Big King meal from Burger King for lunch. I'm having a particularly unhealthy day, I'll probably just have my own home made veg soup for dinner to compensate.

Homemade (by me!) treacle soda bread, with homemade (also by me) vegetable stew. That was for breakfast, and as I forgot to 'homemake' a sandwich for lunch, and refuse to pay upwards of 4 euros for a packed sandwich, I'll be hungry until I get home.
Rip off republic, I remember the first time I went into a shop down here to buy a sandwich and saw the vile, vile prices.
I was disgusted that people pay that!
Tell me more about this treacle soda bread, I'm intriqued...
The mango smoothie I had this morning went through me for a shortcut.![]()
"Intriqued"? Is that word play the pronunciation of "treacle" or a typo?
Anyway, it's soda bread made with white flour only in the usual way, except you mix in 2-3 spoons of heated (to make it runny and easily mixed) treacle to the buttermilk before adding to the dry ingredients. It was the first time i've made it, and it didn't really have enough treacle in it to make a difference to the taste, though the colour was nice.
Typo. Hmmmm, I may be asking mrsdahamsta to experiment in a slightly different way to usual...
(She makes a mean banana bread. She usually has to make 3 or 4 so we've some left for ourselves.)
