    Derry

As the scoreline suggests, easy victory for Derry today as Wexford were left chasing shadows once they went a man down. Wexford started Packie, Chris, Wolfie, Breener, Anto, Jimmy, Patsy, Shane, Dean and Gary and Danny up front. Wexford passed it around reasonably well for the first fifteen without creating anything but went a goal behind when Derry forward got behind Breener and crossed it into the box for Wolfie, facing his own goal, to tuck it away for an og when not under huge pressure. Seccnd for Derry followed a few minutes later when nice through ball found Chris chasing the Derry attacker who was clear and clipped him just outside the box. Chris got a straight red and the free kick was drilled home top left to make it worse. Knew the match was over at that stage. Derry them dominated possession but didn't add further to their tally at half-time. Nil-two at the half.

sending off ruined the game, fair play to the lads they battled well but at 2 down with 10 men it was game over

Derry continued to dominate in second half and got their third when a freekick seemed to go in off Patsy. Fourth for Derry came from a penalty when Anto took down attacker in box and penalty was put away with ease. Wexford then got their goal when freekick from Shane D. fell into a group of players in six yard box and it may have been a Derry og or bundled home by Wolfie. Fifth for Derry came from neat passing movement inside Wexford box. Derry looked best side in Division going forward thus far and gave Wexford trouble all day with Packie making a few good saves to keep the goals down.

Trying hardest for Wexford were Jimmy K. and Shane D. Anto and Aidan McCann limped off for Wexford in second half. Other Wexford subs were Kevin Rowe and Shame Sinnott. Credit also to Derry for support they brought on day. Mabe 250 at it.
