    Team Vs Pats

    id go with:

    devine

colin t dan murray bennett dan murphy

    doyler Greg Nwanko

    Fenn

    Georgie O' Flynn

anyone know when coughlan is back? i think we need greg in there as we need someone to dig in at the moment and i think he will have a point to prove, w.byrne for a big man was very poor in the air last night and seemed to be a step off the pace, georgie and flynnie up front because they were the best in the league last year as a pair so why break whats not broken, i think nwanko diserves a start, when he came on last night,he always showed for the ball and got stuck in a bit, most players besides fenn were afraid of the ball last night especially from throw ins,

we also need to improve from our own set plays,we need more movement,we r very static until the ball is crossed, waterford scored the winner last night bcoz before there free was taken there players were moving all over the place losing there markers and it caused caos, hence the goal and willie bruton winning the first header........

come on boys we have to improve against set piece athletic

    Put out the U21's.
They're the only ones who know how to win at Richer.

    Fenn sweeny Nwanko doyler

    Georgie O' Flynn

I know there's been a lot of debate about trying to fit too many attacking players into the team but it can be done and i think pat should pick an eleven and stick with it and then drop players or pick them according to form,

doyler had a blinder on the left , his pace and driibling will kill thems especially cutting it from the left, george or fenn should play alongside flynny with the other on the right wing with a licence to roam , colin t at right back and bennett back at centre back, seriously willie byrne is nearer aul level than el level.

As soon as pat picks his first team and sticks to it the better, the players undoubtably have the talent they just need the confidence of a run of games and solid formation.

Jeez guys this is great---heading for the 4th game of the season and there is no clear consensus what out starting eleven should be.

Playing with 4 forwards in the side has IMO been a disaster and left us very light in midfield and consequently placed extra pressure on the defense.

Do we have a specialist right back to fill in for Hoggy while he is out?? Playing Greg or CT there is not a runner. I find it hard to believe that with a squad the size of City's we have no specialist right back cover.

I think we should go with Georgie and O'Flynn up front, Doyler on the left, Nwanko and Sweeney in the middle, and CT on the right. That leaves Fenn on the bench.

As for the defence I would stick with the same back 5 except for AN Other at right back.

    Loking forward to Friday night

    I'd go with

    Devine
    Greg, Dan Murray, Bennett, Murphy
    Doyle, Sweeney, Colin,Woods
    George, OFlynn

    Subs
    McNulty,Byrne,Kearney,Fenn, Behan

But then again we all know that :-
    1. Greg wont start.
    2. Bennett wont start.
    3. Fenn will start
    4. McNulty wont be on the bench. No sub goalie. BTW what odds will you get on CT ending up in goal at some stage this season when Mickey gets injured during a game ?
    5. Nwanko will be on the bench.

And finally no matter what happens Pat will be proud of his players !

We can safely leave that to Enda O'Connell.
Don't you know SPA never play their full team, they only ever put out underage sides.
