Awful tackle from Cretaro there too.
Blatant dive but Oman should have known better than to leave his leg out there like that.
I suppose you could say it was a case of what goes around and all that, when you see Anto Murphy falling like a sack of spuds (I know a really silly saying) at the very sight of a tackle in the penalty area.

I think there was contact with Oman, especially going by Oman's reaction (plus at the time I thought you could see Shepherd's leg/sock move when kicked). It was a dive after that, because you'd never get a penalty otherwise, but did seem to be contact. It'll be interesting viewing on the RTÉ Player later on.

sheppard was brilliant, have been really impressed with him so far this season, class goal last week, great to have to have a player like him at Terryland - worth the price of my season ticket on his own. Not really surprised at Creatora; always looked that type of character to me and he will not be going any further than this league despite what he thinks (spend some time in Sligo so saw a lot of him)

Cretaro should get a 5 match ban for that tackle, absolutely disgraceful. Shepherd was fantastic for Galway. Delighted Bohs lost.

2 definite penos for us, probably 3. Robbed. Were the better team aswell. The book should be proper thrown at Cork for setting those seats on fire. Hefty fine, pure dirt.

Went to that game tonight, the second one was a stone wall peno dont know how the ref missed it, did someone throw something at him when he was leaving the pitch??

Good crowd from Cork with both sets of supporters making some good noise

First division football is crap, so glad we have never been down there

Absolutely thrilled with that. We are very good going forward this year. Have a small squad, but one thats willing to play for one another. Big week next week, home to Dundalk monday, and home to Drogs Friday

doubt they will get brought over to the setanta, stand to be corrected on that.

Just in from work and watched the Bohs-Utd game now, and a couple of observations. First off - any chance RTE commentators would do a bit of research before games? Back in 1999, KIERAN Foley scored a hat-trick for United against Bohs. Tonight, CIARAN Foley was playing for United. Yes Adrian Eames, it is possible for 2 people to have similar sounding, but different, names. I pay my TV licence, any chance you could, like, you know, do a proper job?
On Utd penalty, on first glance I thought Sheppard went down a bit easily, but watching replays, not one Bohs player protested. Still not sure it was a peno, and it seems to be a thing with us this year that playr4rs are taking a tumble rather too easily, so noyt happy about that.
Will take the 3 points though!
As for late drama, disgusting tackle by Cretaor was made all the more reprehensible by his reaction of incredulity to the red card. I would have thought it was totally out of character for him, but was, for me, the reaction of a man not able to take defeat.
O'Donnell facing a 3 match ban I would imagine as it was his second red of the season. Stupid of him to push Cretaro, but not surprised given the potential leg-breaker of a kick by the Tubbercurry Thug on the player who tormented De Boez
    "Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins."
    "Homer Simpson, smiling politely."
