    Salthill Devon

    Hi All,

Just for anyone going to this Saturday's game they can find a map to Drom here http://www.salthilldevon.ie/map.htm. Also its in Google Maps if you search under Salthill Devon FC.

Also for anyone who arrives early and wants to get a feed the nearest restaurant /bar to us, is Tom Sheridans in Knocknacarra. They have a map on their site: http://www.tomsheridans.com/index.htm

    Thanks,

    Shane

Don't think so. You don't need a stand; just a picture of one.

Out the Clifden Road is handiest, I think. You can't turn directly right onto it though, have to go on to the next roundabout and then cut back.
It's a bit out, keep going until you pass Glenlo Abbey hotel on the right (can't miss this), and then it's the second left turn, down a rough enough road about a mile, through crossroads and it's just ahead on the right, it's signposted well enough, though it's not the first gate you think, it's just after that!

salthill 2-3 Limerick. We missed 2 penalties. We came back fro
2 down to go in 2 all at half time. Should have been 2-4 by then Judgey had a great chance put wide and the 1st pen. Salthill had a man sent off. Tracey and Clarke (2)

Apart from the 5 goals, 2 missed penalties and the red card it was a pretty boring game.

Thought we were blessed to win it. Did the winner cross the line? I was right behind the goal and didn't think so and there were no claims. Salthill Devon must be totally sick.

On possession and chances we deserved to win but for guts, determination and decent football albeit pretty robust they were worth their first point.

Getting the goal back so quickly after going 2-0 down was crucial. I thought we'd go on to win easily then after equalising before halftime. 1st penalty was stonewall but keeper
should have walked as it was a clear goalscoring opportunity. We had another stonewall penalty turned down in the 2nd half but then the 2nd one was soft. Why did Shane Treacy take both?
    Both hit the righthand post.

Thought the red card was right as it looked a terrible 2 footed challenge. Not sure why the home bench were incensed. Maybe something happened in the lead up????

I didn't think the goal was coming. Thought the keeper made a superb save and was stunned when the ref gave the goal. Only one of our fans seemed to think it was in.

I suppose it makes up for the point we lost and probably deserved in Waterford.

A win is a win and still 3pts, looks like Clarkey is off on a streak now, hopefully he'll get another 2 v Wexford Youths next Friday.

I had a pretty good view of it and I didn't think it was even a foul.

All the Lim players near the ball ran off celebrating as did the fans?
The linesman flagged for a goal straight away .
I said goal straight away because it looked like it crossed the line to me.

Not until the referee gave it!!!!!!

As for the red card - I was straight across from it and it was a dangerous 2 footed challenge.
