A BRILLIANT piece of goalkeeping by Cork’s Michael Devine turned this friendly in favour of the Premier Division club at Buckley Park on Saturday.
Kilkenny had conceded a goal after only two minutes when John O’Flynn took advantage of lapse defending to nip in at the near post.
But the teams were together after 23 minutes when a poor punched clearance by Devine fell to Kilkenny’s Brian Mallon and he hit beautifully to the roof of the net.
The Cats defensive frailties were exposed again on the half hour when a Liam Kearney corner was finished to the net by
O’Flynn.
