We did'nt deserve to lose that game and played well enough overall.Should have been two up at halftime and killed them off.Losing mick aherne was the turning point of the game and things went downhill from there.Stephane jauny came on and he was terrible can't even run.The team has alot of promise and the two strikers could be a very good partnership and the two of them played well yesterday. The carry on of the dundalk fans was a discrace supposed to be football fans i doubt it.

Missed the game, but have already recieved an angry e-mail about Jauney this morning. How bad was he?

Could you expand on the behaviour of the Dundalk fans as well please?

I thought we played really well for about 60 minutes of the game. We basically handed the game to them. some of our player got tired towards the 80 minute mark and I think thats why we lost. I was so p*ssed off. I really thought that we played some good football and should have held on for the win. I was really impressed with SOME of the new signings. both our strikers looked like interesting players, and hopefully with a bit of time, they will prove to be a formidable partnership. I was fairly annoyed that we didn't kill them off when we should have, but overall I think there was a lot of positive things to be taken from the game. Unfortunately don't think we have the depth in the squad to go very far, if what came off our bench is anything to go by. Also Mike Kerley should not take the frees. Its a pity he has to play himself as I feel we would benefit more from him being able to manage from the sideline. I'd love if we got a good start to the season, instead of having to recover from a bad start. Damn it anyway, we should have held on!
