Can we still do this? Like if you want to link to one post only, for example with post of the month?
When i click on a post, it just repoens the whole thread, rather than isolate that one post.

It does open the whole thread, but it targets the exact post, your browser should jump to it. This URL, for example, should take you straight to post #8.

(Speaking for meself, I was delighted when they changed it to this way, because I nearly always have to link to context, which meant popping up that damned window, and then clicking in that to bring it back to context.)
Ok i get you, instead of being the only post, it's now at the top of the page. No confusion as long as everybody knows it.
