3 goals conceded from 3 set pieces....
Can't believe I'm saying this, but get Derek back.
Dolan is going to play K. Murray in the team, even if it will cost us
    our chance of the league.
I think Kevin is a decent lad, a good player, but is not up to it yet.
To see Benno and Greg left on the bench, while he gets the full 90 minutes
shows the kind of pigheadedness which is the worst side of Dolan.
I hate to be so harsh on a young lad, but surely its a contradiction if on the one hand Dolan says everyone must fight for his place and no sentiment will come into it, yet he continues to pick Kevin?

the biggest problem we had in the game is that kevin murray is totally inept. lastseason we excused him by saying he wasn't a midfielder- as far as I can see now he's not anything. he was terrible. hoggy and kearney were very poor as well IMO. Amazing the difference in danny murray when he had a decent player besdie him in the 2nd half. colin t at right full, fenn and sweeney were the best for us IMO. Devine will have to be replaced if he can't improve his distribution- i lost count of the number of goal kicks that went straight out of play. Decent enough city crowd there, i'd say there was about 100 maybe slightly more, very few vocal fans though only about 30 or 40 of us singing. rovers crowd was pathetic- ECHO ECHOOOOOOOOO

P.s. Why was that scut molloy not sent of for slapping a city player right in front of the linesman?!!!!

I think the change that made the difference was moving George out to the wing. He was lost in the first half in the middle. he wasn't winning ball and a lot of the play City had going forward was long high ball. Sweeney in the second half got stuck in and won a lot of ball. He then laid it off easy and sensibly enabling City to play some passing football.

Thats two games in the league where George has started in the midlle and in both games he hasn't performed to the required standards!!!

I think thats exactly what we need. I reckon a george + sweeney combo might do the trick in the middle. Still think its worthwhile giving fenn a go and putting george up front. either way what he's tried so far hasn't worked too well.
