Questions about fomer LOI clubs

Waterford FC and Waterford United FC are the same club/entity but different trading companies...For about a decade afterwards there were some legal wranglings in which WUFC could not claim to be the same club as WFC but that has since been ironed out.

Cork City FC and Cork City Foras Co-op are too completley different clubs/entities and will remain so until the Foras club buys back the CCFC name and rights.

So Waterford and Waterford United are the same entity despite having different names, but Cork City and Cork City for a scoop won't be the same entity until they have the same names?

It was a simpler time pineapple, with no licensing. When Waterford went bust, a new club was set up. With the same board, same players, same kit, same everything. I'd still say it was a new club but obviously the |Waterford folk are *****ly about this, and to be honest it doesn't really matter

For a scoop have nothing in common with City except the location
