It has to be a coill dubh win for me,i siad it at the start of the forum and ill stick by them. But with cup football you just never know look what happened to lifey in the semi they battered clane for 90 mins but just couldn score. 2-1 COILL DUBH
Coill Dubh winners of the lumsden cup in a good even game. Experience helped Coill Dubh who had some good players on show.
Please tell me that the majority of the squad is made up of senior div players from liffey,coill dubh,castle villa,ballycane ect. Cause from what im hearing its not and if this is the case they will be thumped and embarrased in this years compitition.Also heard that the manager wasnt to be seen at either lumsden semi finals or final and prob wont bother attending the senior final on sunday.
3 and a half weeks to the 1st competitive game and this is the story.
Manager P Byrne hasnt a clue what he is doing.
Training is a joke he had the players running around in kildare town afc in the dark.
League chairman thinks byrne is the 2nd coming of our lord .
Players turn up to train but no coach turns up.
Cup finals pass by but no sign of any of the coaching staff at them scouting.
4 players turn up one of the nights to train.
Training is switched to muddy clane utd grounds with bad lighting.
Players are now playing in 15 a side matches in training.
6 weeks have now passed and still no challenge or trial matches.
Every tom dick and harry are now called into training to build up numbers.
Only 50% of the squad are made up of senior div players,the rest are from the lower leagues as far as div 3.
ITS THE PLAYERS THAT MATTER,AND THEY WILL BE LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER IN THIS YEARS COMPITITION. CANT BUT FEEL ANGERED ABOUT THIS
Paul Byrne got the boot from the kildare oscar traynor job. He was never the right man for the job,the way he treated the players during the defeat to the defence forces was a discrace. I said it months ago that the whole set up was a shambles and the league chairman should take full blame as well. I am sayin this now to anyone who will listen and is involved in soccer in kildare, IF CERTAIN PEOPLE ARE LEFT TO THEIR DEVICES THEN KILDARE SOCCER IS DOOMED.
