No, you quoted the 7 sending offs, and said the refs are crap. As has bee pointed out, you havem't seen most of these incidents

You said that the refs are a joke in this league because there were 7 red cards so far across the two divisions.

As for the rest of your post (again don't see the relevance to this weekend's red cards)- no I didn't see any of the TV games, the only game I've seen is Pats-UCD last night. I saw the first MNS of the season, only point of refereeing that was brought up was the penalty given to Bohs against Fingal. Obviously an incorrect decision but not one you would not see in other leagues and certainly a decision, whilst incorrect, that you can see how the referee gave it. That one poor decision isn't going to override every single other thing the ref has done. Mistakes happen all the time, in all leagues by referees. In fact, mistakes happen in every walk of life, in every type of job. Refereeing is quite a difficult job, it's no surprise that there mistakes often enough but the vast majority of decisions are correct which gets ignored.

Nevertheless, the point I'm making (which seems lost on you in your back-tracking rants) is that perhaps it would be best to judge the decisions of referees once you are in a position to judge them, i.e. after you've seen the incidents. There's no point going off on an ill-informed rant without even having a clue what happened with most of the sending offs.

Neil Doyle is a shocking ref, though. It is of no surprise to me at all that he messed up the Drogs/Bohs match!!

Actually if you go and look at it, they mentioned the whole two footed stamp Paul keegan was very lucky to get away with. I havn't seen it since the Monday night it was on but I will have to go back and view it to pick up on their reporting about the poor decisions. My point overall is they are getting so many decisions wrong and does this weekend not sum it up again.

Well so far you (and I) have only been at one game each this weekend so I don't see how either of us are in a position to say that the refs "have got so many decisions wrong" this weekend at this moment in time.

Both sendings off were justified in the Athlone Match. The first one was for a badly mis-timed tackle that send a Cork player into orbit and the second one was last man back and it looked like the Cork player would have scored. Athlone were lucky to hang on in the end.

Official attendance was 880 or something and there was easily 200 from Cork, spread over a few blocks of the stand, arounf 120 or so were in the first block standing and singing.

Really enjoyed the trip and the performance.

Very even in the first half and we didn't really settle but we upped it in the second half and started playing some lovely football. Unlucky not to get another goal but if the lads keep improving we'll do well. Great to see the atmosphere and buzz among the city fans, everyone went home thinking we should have won but still happy. A lot of positives for us.

Athlone were very well organised and difficult to break down. Excellent from set plays and quick on the break. They were a lot more physical than us though which is probably something we're going to encounter a lot this year.

Good trip rounded off with watching anchorman on the bus on the way home.

Just on the ref issue, we had Declan Hanney at Rovers on Tuesday and Alan Kelly against UCD on Friday, thought both did reasonably well, some mistakes but no major errors and that's the best you're likely to get.

The general standard of refs in the league is poor imo but credit where credit is due.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

All that anti-Shamrock bias has distorted your perspective.

Dundalk are playing an exemplary away performance.

    I agree.

Tactics are spot on, well organised and playing some nice stuff when they get it down.
