Can I just add my congratulations to Charlestown, haven't been to many games this year, but they were an excellent side last year.

think your getting mixed up renovater.
i think your talking about the milkman, that P McManamon has retired a few years.
the new, young and improved version is just as bad in the tackle
Seen him play about 5 times this year. Watched him v Westport C in the peeing rain in Glenhest and he just bullied and intimidated all the young lads. Had no interest in football. Seen him a few weeks later in Charlestown and they were big men and really put him in his place. He was a mouse and totally ineffective playing on the left. Got substuited after an hour. Then back to his bad old ways against S n F b.
Think he is a decent player tbh if he decided to play rather than act a fool. Good in the air and not bad on the ball but has a serious attitude problem.
League Two
Ballina Utd.
Ballyhaunis Town
Castlebar Celtic ‘B’ or Kiltimagh/Knock Utd.
Cross Celtic
Glenhest Rovers
Manulla ‘B’
Parkside Celtic
Straide & Foxford Utd. ‘B’
With the teams announced for next season, looks like it's going to be a really tough Division to get out of. Ballyhaunis are coming up with real momentum with Parkside and Ballina Utd and either Celtic B or K & K United will have a real point to prove, alongside Manulla B. Ourselves, Glenhest & S & F are the only sides left from last year. Looks like alot of travelling!!!

Yer are still in 4th tier no matter how ye look at it!!!
And So It Came to Pass
Ye may have a cup in your cabinet Charlestown, but ye still have to make the trip to Ballyvary next year!!
So much for heading to the big time!!!
Division 2 Team of the Season 2010
David Carroll Westport Utd. ‘C’
Paul Kenny Charlestown Athletic
Sean Gavaghan Charlestown Athletic
Pat Kelly Westport Utd.‘C’
Alan Price Swinford ‘B’
Martin Taylor Charlestown Athletic
Colm Kelly Westport Utd. ‘C’
Noel Gavaghan Westport Utd. ‘C’
Shane Mulchrone Glenhest Rovers
Michael Mullee Claremorris ‘B’
Paddy McDermott Charlestown Athletic
Paul Kenny is a very popular choice at right back and deserves to make the team of the season. Paul is also a graduate from Westport United Youths. He was undoubetdly one of the main architects in Charlestown's historic season.![]()
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
Correct me if i'm wrong ... but is that the same Paul Kenny that played up front at youth level for Westport???? Don't I remember him as a sucessfull forward in his youth??
i hear that padraig mcmanaman has signed for mulranny united!! what do ye make of that??? played against him a few times and he owned the midfield........good strong all rounder
i dont see a thread started yet for the new season, any guesses as to who the strongest teams are this year, hard to predict
Manulla B and Ballyhaunis I suppose would be the favourites, lots of B teams in this division so it's hard to tell.
