Predicitions on this weekend lads?
Cross V Claremorris B - Draw.
Cross Celtic are in transition at the moment, they lost 8-9 players from last year including 3 strikers as well as the management team. They are slowly building a new squad and have great numbers at training, as the new players bed in things should improve. Claremorris B are always strong and games between these two teams are never boring!!
Glenest 2 v 4 Charlestown Athletic
Very tough physical game. Charlestown much better side and deserved the 3 points. Glenhest will take a lot of beating and other sides will drop points against them. Large squad to pick from judging on the numbers togged out but feel they might struggle with numbers on GAA days. 1 player with serious attitude problem and could cost them in the long run due to his unsportsmanship conduct.
2-2 at half time with Charlestown having led twice in the 1st half but conceded 2 very sloppy goals. Put the foot down in the 2nd half and 2 goals inside 15 minutes of the restart finished the game. Good start to the league by all accounts with 2 difficult away games put to bed.
Charlestown U.16s had a super win over Corofin on Saturday. Fully deserved it and the very best of luck to them in the final!!
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
not shy of self praise are you. you know what they say about that dont you?
I heard on the streets of Charlestown yesterday that Pat Corrigan got manager of the week on the Connaught Telegraph. Fair achievement for the man.
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
Westport United C team had a devastating win over the Blue Bombers over the weekend!!
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
Great news, Pat has been a true ambassador for Charlestown Athletic and Mayo football. This acknowledgement is only fitting for the amount of hard work he does for our club and the youth set up in Mayo football. A true Club man and gentleman to boot. Hopefully now our u16 boys can go on a win the Connaught cup.
what happened to all Gaffers Gaffer posts?? why are most of them removed??
Westport C to beat the Hesties over the weekend. After the demolition of the Blue Bombers, the boys of Beltra must be quaking in their boots!!
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
Hey just saying it as it is..... done a report on Cross game too and was fair to both teams... if you dont want to read reports on the games fair enough but if youre not in attendance then how can you comment on the accuracy of the report?? Didn't do any injustice to Glenhest (apart from 1 player) and even commented on their abality to take points off other teams so i dont know what ur problem is?
I heard charlestown u16 put up a great battle against mervue at weekend stunning performance very unlucky not 2 have won. lost on penalties 5-4. A team to make any mayo club proud. well done charlestown and pat corrigan.
