Cameron Jerome off to Stoke. Great news for Rooney. He should get a full season now as a starter, fingers crossed.
Maybe... They're in Europe though so I'd say it's as much about building a squad to cope with that, the league and the two cups, as it is about any dissatisfaction with Walters. I'd say he'll get ample oppertunities to retain or regain his place...
Hah!! But they've signed Crouch too so he's probably under pressure now!!
Crouch on the end of Delap throws with Walters thumping defenders out of the way, it's a match made in heaven.
Valhalla, more likely! Nowt heavenly or angelic about those tactics!!
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

Came on as an early substitute for Zigic against Reading today and scored within 5 minutes. Not sure how serious Zigic's injury but it's a great time for him to be finding form with the playoffs about to start. Colin Doyle also playing.
Goal Rooney. Rooney barged in to on the edge of the box only 5-10 minutes after coming on, a bit of a soft penalty. He steps up and sends it to the keeper's right, 1-1.

Back in Scotland with Aberdeen on a free from Oldham: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25853892
That shows how poor the standard is in the SPL. He is a bench player in League One and he is going to be a pivotal figure for Aberdeen and rightly so. He banged the goals in for Inverness.
Stronger all round for his time in England he says. Hibs were after him too. Good luck to him.

I was so excited when he scored a hat trick on his debut for Stoke. He's been nothing but a disappointment to me since.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Not hard to please. Just realistic.
Debut goal for Rooney.
Scored the second in a 2-1 win to end Celtics mammoth winning league run tonight, Hayes scored too for Aberdeen, Stokes completed 90 for Celtic.

Hat-trick for Rooney this evening. Aberdeen 3-0 up on the night and 8-0 up on aggregate against Daugava Riga.
This thread's been pretty quiet this past while, but this was Adam Rooney's 20th goal for Aberdeen (against St. Johnstone) in 30 games so far this season and it's a bloody good'un too:
Aberdeen are on a great run of form and flying high in the SPL at the minute. Rooney's goals have played a major part in that. They've picked up 26 points from the last available 30 and are 3 points off leaders Celtic.
