It was that season - they got a new manager in towards the end and drew their last two games.

Bottom of the league for three consecutive seasons now, and that includes a stay in the Premier!

    That might change next year

Shels were actually a NOTHING team as far as I remember, I can remember going to a Shels V Derry game in the late 80s in Dalymount and I distinctively remember their lack of supporters....nothing has changed.

How long did Shels play in Daler for...anyone know ?
I remember being at a Home Farm game in Tolka too when they owned it.

What about Flower lodge Aaaaaaaaaagh the memories...i was too young to really enjoy myself then.

AFAIK Shels never played regularly in Dalymount. They played in Harolds Cross up to end 88/89 season and then went to tolka

I seen them twice in Dalymount...and both of them were not in the cup

I actually have the programme for one...think it might have been 88

They played in Harolds Cross until 89-90 when Pats moved in I thought. Maybe they moved the Derry games to Dalyer to accomodate the crowd. My father went to the game where they got relegated. Him and 46 others.
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny
