    internet safety question

    hey lads,

tonight i started recieveing loads of calls asking me if i was still selling my car, apparently i put my car up on done deal, which im not a registered user, therefore how can an unverified e-mail address be capable of posting stuff up,

would ye say my e-mail account was hacked, or some other site using my info, how did they get my e-mail address and my phone number, the year and colour of my car,

Maybe a friend is taking the mick out of you by doing this? A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him by some girl in his class in college, he ****ed her off one day so she put an ad on Gumtree about him selling stuff on the cheap, and he got a load of calls about it!

There's nothing stopping someone posting your email address on DoneDeal.ie, either on purpose or as a misspelling. Either search the website for your email address and report the ad, or get in touch with them via their general contact details and ask them to look for you. They're good guys, they'll help if they can.
